HS2 Progress is an independent, hobbyist project that tracks publicly available construction updates for High Speed 2 (HS2) — the UK's new high-speed railway. It exists because progress on individual stations, viaducts, tunnels and bridges is genuinely interesting to follow, but that information is normally scattered across dozens of YouTube channels, drone flyovers and local council planning portals with no single place to see it all together.
This site pulls that together: a map and structure-by-structure pages showing construction footage, key facts, and publicly submitted planning documents for major HS2 sites, plus a forum where people following the project can discuss what they're seeing.
HS2 Progress is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to HS2 Ltd, the Department for Transport, or the UK Government in any way. It is run independently by a member of the public with an interest in the project. Nothing on this site should be treated as an official HS2 source — for that, see hs2.org.uk.
Videos, photos and planning documents are submitted by members of the public — often the same people filming drone or ground footage of HS2 sites and sharing it on YouTube. Structure locations, descriptions and coordinates are compiled from publicly available sources and best-effort research, and may occasionally be approximate or out of date. Submitted content and documents are reviewed before they appear publicly on a structure page.
Every effort is made to keep information accurate, but this is a volunteer-run site and mistakes happen. If you spot something wrong — an incorrect location, an outdated status, a mislabelled structure — please get in touch and it'll be corrected.
