These terms apply whenever you use HS2 Progress (hs2progress.co.uk). By using the site, submitting content, creating an account, or posting on the forum, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. See the About page for background on what this project is and who runs it.
HS2 Progress is an independent, hobbyist project that tracks publicly available HS2 construction updates. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to HS2 Ltd or the UK Government. Information is provided on a best-effort basis and may be incomplete, approximate, or out of date — it should not be relied on as an official or authoritative source.
Some features (submitting content, posting on the forum, uploading documents) require an account. You're responsible for keeping your login details secure and for anything posted from your account. Accounts may be suspended or removed if used to abuse the site or break these terms.
When you submit a video, document, image, or forum post, you confirm that you own it or have the right to share it, and you grant HS2 Progress a non-exclusive licence to display it on the site. Video submissions link to content hosted on YouTube and remain the property of their original creators. Structure documents (e.g. planning PDFs) are reviewed before they're published; forum posts and images publish immediately but may be removed afterwards if they break these terms.
Don't submit anything that is illegal, infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or is abusive, defamatory, or spam. Submitted files are scanned for malware, but you're still responsible for what you upload.
Keep discussion on-topic and respectful. Content that is abusive, harassing, illegal, or clearly off-topic spam may be removed, and repeat offenders may lose posting access. There's no pre-approval queue for forum posts, so moderation happens after the fact — reports and corrections are welcome at the contact below.
The site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. Structure locations, descriptions, statuses and documents may contain errors and are not a substitute for official HS2 or local council sources. Use of any information on this site — including for research, journalism, or decision-making — is at your own risk.
This site links to and embeds content from third parties, including YouTube videos and local council planning portals. HS2 Progress has no control over and isn't responsible for that third-party content, and using it is subject to that provider's own terms.
These terms may be updated occasionally as the site changes. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
